Lake Brunner - Moana Village Activities

The Station House Café situated across Helen Dense Park from the hotel is where you can enjoy anything from a quiet latte to a fine dining experience. Enjoy the lake views from the balconies on a beautiful west coast day while dinning from their blackboard menu. Don’t forget to try the Monteiths Award Winning West Coast Rib eye Steak. Open from 10.30am each morning (long weekends from 9.30am) but reservations are recommended for a la carte evening dinning. Yachting: In 2006 our local yacht club celebrated 100 years of sailing on Lake Brunner. The yacht club holds Sunday lessons for the local children and also host sailing Sunday afternoons. Many patrons travel from Greymouth to Moana for the sailing. The yacht club hosts the annual 24 hour race which is a magnificent sight to see.
 
Lake Brunner Catamaran Charters: Experience a 2 hour sail on the lake, taking in the beautiful scenery. From Mount Tekinga, the Hohonu Range and the surrounding bay. Pack your own refreshments and just in case some dry warm clothing, and become one with this stunning place. Day or Evening sails l on this magnificent catamaran is an experience not to be missed. Wake Brunner Aqua Sports: professional instructor to teach you how to wake board. You may just require a pleasant cruise around the lake edge or down the Arnold River, where native orchids, strange fungi and rare birds untroubled by our presence can be viewed. Your host is John Rathbun.
 
"Madeline Ruth" an all weather boat can guide you out on the lake to try your luck for a trout or two. Or you may use this as a water taxi to the Te Kinga bush walk. Your host Brent and Madeline.
 
Kotuku Pottery just two kilometres west from Moana on Arnold Valley Road Kotuku Pottery has domestic ware, stoneware, terracotta garden pieces, sculptures and hand built pieces, made with salt glazes, rich and earthy with sea greens and blues.. Your host is Sue and Ian
